Why education and why Tanzania?
In 2013, the Gaines Family visited Tanzania, fell in love with country and quickly learned that access to education was challenging in certain areas of the country.
TanzaCare is commited to assisting the government by providing supplemental aid to areas with limited resources because we believe that by providing education, we provide a spark; a spark that will surely change lives.
How can I fundraise for TanzaCare?
TanzaCare is proud to partner with schools and like-minded organizations who share our commitment to education. To learn more, visit Get Involved.
Individuals may fundraise for TanzaCare by hosting a variety of events including: selling bracelets, candy bars, hosting an event, "donating" your birthday, creating a walk for water, silent auction.

What percentage of donations go towards TanzaCare recipients?
100% of all public donations go directly to the schools and students that we partner with.
Our U.S. office is run by volunteers. Our administrative costs and the salary of our Director of Operations in Tanzania are funded by a private donor.
Can I select where I would like my donations to go? (i.e. textbooks, build a school, etc.)
Absolutely! Donors may visit, Donate , and select the dollar amount and initiative you would like to put your money towards.
